Caterpillar Communication Adapter (CA3)
The Caterpillar Communication Adapter (CA3) is a 100% genuine dealer tool, manufactured in Canada, designed to connect PC-based service tools to Perkins equipment. It is the only recommended communication device for CAT and the only adapter with the CAT Data Link (CDL) protocol, required for proper communication with CAT engines.
The CA3 enables communication with ECMs (Engine Control Modules) via the data link, allowing technicians to diagnose existing and potential issues, configure products, and gather performance data for analysis.
